IF I DIE THIS IS THE STORY I WANT (YOU) TO TELL

ROUND TABLE OF CONTENTS /

A note from no body to somebody, The world is ending the way the rich, patient, green days of summer became autumn. The way in which the leaves fall, lightning strikes on the plains, wood burns to ash, the blade of the guillotine corrects our wrongs. This world is ending -- there is no stopping that. It is mine and this body's deepest wish for these years of ours to be of service to you before then -- that maybe you will catch some detail we missed or learn a lesson we could not. Maybe you can stop it. Maybe you can be the one who saves the world.. But I wouldn't count on it. This book is written, even if it isn't printed yet. Our advice? It is time to learn how to let go. No Body is an anthology of all the lives, all the bodies, homes I have lost to time, what's been forgotten and what's been erased -- Dreams I had as a child that disappeared upon waking. Let's write these ones down before we vanish, too -- Before it's too late. 'If I Die, This is the Story I Want (You) to Tell' will be the first collection of stories in the series (+poems, diary entries, comics, art, music, napkin scribbles, dreams) about coming to terms with the inevitability of change, about what matters and what does not, the cyclical nature of transition and reincarnation, the journey of the soul beyond life and death, being and not being -- of letting go of everything and becoming nothing.  The No Body anthology may never be what you expect it to be, or look like what you have come to believe a story ‘should’ look like. This story is more about unknowing than knowing, unraveling, detangling, losing what we have found; Did it fall apart or did it fall into place? We fall apart to be in place, dear Lovey. Thank you for your support and participation in bringing this story, my story -- our story now -- to realization and completion. I am so excited to begin sharing with you a project that really has been mine and this body's work up to now. This story has taken many, many forms and, to tell you the truth, we need some help coming up with an ending. I know I speak for both of us, that we are so grateful and honored to have you here with us at the end and that you took the time to be a part of this world and to read our book. That really, truly, means everything to us.
